Martin And The Apple Tree

Once upon a time, a ten-year-old boy named Martin lived in a small town and loved eating apples. He loved apples so much that he ate them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sometimes dessert. Ironically, Martin lived next to an apple farm he visited daily.

One day, while Martin was visiting the farm, farmer Brown asked him if he would like to own his very own apple tree. With great joy, Martin replied, “Yes! Farmer Brown, I would love to own my very apple tree.” Then, with a smile, farmer Brown gave Martin two apple seeds and urged him to water the seeds every day if he wanted the tree to grow and produce delicious apples. Immediately after receiving the apple seeds, Martin ran home to plant them.

Following farmer Brown’s advice, Martin woke up early every morning to water the apple seeds, even before going to school. Martin did this for three weeks straight. Then it happened, Martin woke up to water his apple seeds, and to his amazement, he discovered that the seeds had sprouted.

Overjoyed with gladness, Martin ran straight over to farmer Brown to tell him the good news. Delighted by Martin’s Minuit taste of success, Farmer Brown congratulated Martin and encouraged him to keep watering his now tiny tree and to revisit him if he needed any help.

A few months later, Martin decided to visit farmer Brown and tell him that the apple tree was growing tall, but there weren’t any apples on it. As Farmer Brown laughed, he said, “Don’t give up! Keep watering your apple tree. If you need more advice, come back and see me again.”

Martin went home and continued watering his apple tree. A few more months passed, and the apple tree grew taller and greener, but there were still no apples. Martin returned to farmer Brown and said, “I think there’s something wrong with my apple tree.” “Like what?” Farmer Brown asked. “My apple tree still doesn’t have any apples. And it’s getting hard to get up every day to keep watering a tree that’s not growing what I want.” Martin replied disappointedly. Farmer Brown smiled then replied, “It can be challenging at times, especially when the thing you are trying to do, doesn’t appear to be growing but don’t let that stop you from what you are doing. It takes a little hard work for apples to grow but keep watering your apple tree.

Martin returned home and continued watering the apple tree as farmer Brown had instructed. About two years later, Martin returned to Farmer Brown and exclaimed, “Farmer Brown, you won’t believe it! I have apples on my tree! I followed your instructions, and they appeared like magic. With a chuckle farmer, Brown said, “It’s not magic. It was perseverance, hard work, and consistency. Anything you want in life requires these 3.

Moral of the story

No matter what you desire in life, it’s success is a product of patience, perseverance, and hard work. Martin’s dedication to watering his apple tree, despite the initial lack of results, ultimately paid off. His story teaches us that it’s important to stay committed to our goals and not give up, even when faced with challenges.
