Management is the effective, efficient, correct, and timely use of property and resources.
Typically, when people hear the word management, the first thing that comes to mind is business. People associate the term manager with an overseer on a job. Yet, we neglect the importance of a manager’s role and how it affects the success of the business. And fail to see how managing their own lives is the key to a successful life. Management has more to do with our being than just a job function. It is the reason for our existence. The book of Genesis reveals the father of creation’s purpose for creating mankind, which is still to manage the earth. The father gave us management control over the planet earth and its resources. But most importantly, he gave us management over our time, gifts, emotions, health, and money.
Why is management so important?
To answer this question, we must refer back to the bible
(5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth[a] and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth, and there was no one to work the ground,)Genesis 2:5.
This verse reveals The Father’s reason for creating us and shows us that nothing grows without management. If the lack of management hindered the completion of the world. Then the lack of management in your personal life will keep you from being successful.
The role of management is important because it cultivates growth and success.
The Lack of Management
Management is simply the growth and maximization of resources. It’s the effective and timely use of your time, money, health, emotions, and gifts.
If the result of management is the maximization of resources. Then the lack of management results in a loss of resources. The lack of management is a result of a bad manager. Being a bad manager is the reason why some people don’t experience growth or success in their lives. Resources leave bad managers just like employees leave bad bosses.
For example, if you don’t manage your day, You will lose your 24 hours. Or, If you don’t monitor what you eat and exercise, you will lose your health.
If you don’t manage what you have, you will lose what you have.
Success and Management
Management is the bridge that leads to success. If you want to be successful, then you need to learn how to manage your resources. Managing your resources is the key to building a life of success and what makes you a good manager. A good manager is diligent with resources and adds value to assets which leads to a life of success.
It’s impossible to have success in your life without management.
Management attracts growth through the effective use of resources that gives birth to success. While on the other side of the spectrum the lack of management stagnates growth.
Management is the key to success. And the lack of management is the key to failure.
It should be the aim of every person to want to be a good manager. And to experience growth and success in their personal lives. If you are not experiencing a life of growth, abundance, and success. Then it’s time to become a good manager and start managing your resources.
